Norwich corrects errors, to stay competitive against the Saints

NORWICH – The Norwich varsity baseball team played host to the Seton Catholic Saints out of Binghamton on Monday April 25, only to suffer another loss at 5-1.

“Tonight was a good game that we played. The thing with us so far is, it's either or with us; it's either we field well and don’t hit or we hit well and don’t field. And tonight we fielded real well but just couldn’t hit. We made some great plays in the field today,” said Norwich head coach Rich Turnbull.

With only one committed error throughout the game, the error stricken play from Norwich which we saw over this last weekend seems to be corrected.

“We only surrendered two more runs after the fourth inning. I liked how we bounced back (after loss to Sidney 13-3), because I thought we played one of our worst games on Saturday. We didn’t win, but we played well, we just have to learn to be more consistent. We haven’t been very consistent all year, but we played better,” said Turnbull.
