Oxford Softball wins 11-5 earns third win

DELHI – Delhi hosted the Oxford varsity softball team on the windy Tuesday afternoon, in a game which ultimately ended up in favor of the Blackhawks when they got back on the bus with their third win of the season after defeating Delhi 11-5.

Despite the loss, it was Delhi who jumped out to the early lead over Oxford when they scored two of their five runs in the first inning.

The lady Blackhawks got their feet underneath them in the second inning when Rachael Seiler started the batting off with a triple to center field. Emilee Eldred was then walked and stole to get to second, before the Blackhawks endured two strikeouts at the plate.
