Norwich Tennis wins in commanding fashion over Warriors

Norwich ran away with the competition when they faced up against Sidney high school this past Tuesday, April 12., winning six of the seven match-ups.

It was Jamison Luke of Norwich who got the day started in the mens first singles match against Sidney's Riley MacPherson. Luke would get the win in just two sets winning at 6-2, and 6-2.

The second singles match saw Carlos Ithier defeat Sidney's Trenton Stillman in much the same fashion as Luke, earning the win in just two sets at 6-1 a piece.

Fellow Tornado teammates Cameron Edwards and Joel Fazio also cleaned house in the singles with wins, both in just two sets as well. Edwards would win a 6-2 set followed by a 6-0 set; while Fazio earned a 6-0 set and a 6-1 set.

The final tie-breaking set came down to a nail biting 11-9 set in favor of the Sidney duo of Germond and Bowie.

However, Norwich quickly recovered to see the second mens double duo earn a win in just two sets as Josia Shaver and Matt Giglio got the win over Trevor Dutton & Lucas Tanner at 6-2, and 6-3 respectively.
