Community rallies to support young woman battling cancer, two fundraisers planned

NORWICH – The community is rallying together to support Chenango County resident Mindy Ives Natoli, who is battling leukemia now after winning her battle against Hodgkin’s Lymphoma two years ago.

Multiple benefits have been organized and the first is set to take place at 11 a.m., Sunday, April 3 at Smokin’ Bones in Norwich.

“She's an RN, volunteer EMT, volunteer firefighter, huge member of the planning committee for St Baldrick’s, and an amazingly awesome person in our community who needs help,” said her sister-in-law Kobie Decker Natoli. “Her husband Trevor is also a volunteer firefighter and EMT too.”

Mindy was recently diagnosed with AML Leukemia. The medical world believes this a direct result of the chemotherapy she had two years ago while battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Mindy and her husband are currently in Boston while she receives the treatment she needs from the top experts in the field. Family said that Natoli has always been there to help her community, and now it is our turn to show our support in her time of need.

Housing for her husband to stay with her in Boston is $170 per night.
