SIDNEY – The lady Blackhawks traveled to nearby Sidney in an effort to try to upset Sidney on their senior night, and earn that elusive first win on the sea- son.

The offense was just not present the losing efforts for the Blackhawks who only managed 5-points as a team

in the first half of play, Sidney would lead 23-5 at the halfway mark.

“Senior night for them, they honored six seniors, they came out and played really well,” said Oxford girls basketball head coach Chris Palmer.

The second half of play proved even more disastrous as the lady Blackhawks defense slipped some as well. The Warriors outscored Oxford 35-5 in the second half en route to a 58-10 win on their senior night.

“Sidney is one of the top teams in the league, they’re going to be one of the top four vying for the MAC championship,” said Palmer. “They’re a good ball club and nearly everyone scored for them. They just did a really nice job.”
