GREENE - The Trojan wrestling squad lost at home to Sidney last Thursday night by a point total of 30-21.

The Sidney Warriors picked up forfeit victories at the 99, 113, and 170 weight classes that would ultimately help them leave Greene with a victory.

Noah Kennedy and Ryan Castle fought back for Greene at the 126 and 138 weight classes respectively, each picking up a technical-fall victory that would give the Trojans 12 of their 21 points.

Greene wrestlers Joe Phillips and Braxton Howell would account for the rest of the Trojans point total; Phillips earned 3 points when he won his match by decision, 5-0, and Howell tacked on another 6 points by picking up a forfeit.

But the multiple forfeits against Greene along with a technical-fall victory by Sidney’s Reed Scott at 145 proved to be detrimental to the Trojans, who will try to redeem themselves in a rematch at Sidney this Thursday at 6 o’clock.
