UV Break Out For Easy 20-point Win

HANCOCK – Unadilla Valley cruised to an easy 20-point victory Tuesday night against Hancock on a score line of 64-44.

Hancock began the game in fantastic form as Lane Bass led the team with 12 of his game-high 19 points coming in the first quarter.

After their roaring start, the Wildcats offense began to falter as UV started to find their stride. The storm outscored Hancock 16-4 in the second quarter to gain the half-time lead, on a score of 28-22.

Once they had the lead, UV never looked back. Brett Haulsmain became the talisman for the Storm, scoring 11 points in the third quarter. He would finish with 16 points, 14 rebounds and four steals for the game.

Top scorer for the Storm, Tyler Simmons, helped to close out the game, with seven of his 17 points coming in the fourth quarter. In the end, UV ran out deserving victors by a confortable margin.

Next up, UV takes on Waterville at home in a non-conference game at home Thursday night, Jan. 14.
