BAINBRIDGE–Earlier in the 2015-16 school year, the Bainbridge-Guilford High School Student Council set a lofty goal of collecting 2,000 cans of nonperishable food items to support the annual food drive.

While in past years, support for the initiative has been honorable, students involved in the district's Student Council went above and beyond with a sense of “can-do” spirit that would allow them to both meet and exceed the benchmark set back in September.

“This year's B-G students surpassed the 2,000 can goal, and their support has been overwhelming,” Scott Graham, who serves as Dean of Students for both the Junior and Senior High School.

As a reward for reaching this goal, the High School Student Council purchased tickets for all Senior High students and staff to Regal Cinema in Binghamton on Dec. 22 to see the much anticipated Star Wars: A Force Awakens, released last Thursday.
