Sherburne-Earlville girls fall in close game

SHERBURNE - Hosting Frankfurt-Skyler on Thursday, December 3, the Sherburne-Earlville girls' varsity basketball team fell 66-65.

Both teams came out hot in the first half to put up big numbers and keep the game close. The first quarter concluded with both teams tied at 28.

The two stayed consistent in the first half, sinking the majority of their shots. The Marauder women kept themselves in the game on the backs of Savannah Irwin and Lilly Berg throughout the game. Berg and Irwin combined for a total of 53 points on the night and kept the boards in their teams favor on both offense and defense. "Both teams had two big players that helped out big time," said S-E coach Karen Mulligan. "Both girls had tremendous games tonight."
