Norwich Football Falls To Windsor 26-19

WINDSOR - On Friday, October 23, the Norwich Purple Tornado traveled to Windsor to compete against the Black Knights. Windsor would walk away as the victor 26-19 after four long hard fought quarters for both teams.

Norwich got the scoring started in the first quarter after a 13 yard run by Drew Walsh. Since beginning his varsity career, Walsh has been a huge asset for the Purple Tornado at running back.

Now up 7-0 going into the second quarter, the Norwich defense held on to their lead until 1:04 left in the half as Windsor quarterback Trevor Kimble completed a 15 yard touchdown pass to Jordan Haven. As the two point conversion was no good, Norwich was up 7-6 going into half time.

The next score came with 5:10 left in the third quarter as Norwich's Cole Rifanburg completed a pass to Cameron Edwards for 16 yards to give the game a 13-6 score.

to start off the fourth quarter Windsor would go on a 20 point run, scoring three touchdowns, two on offense and one on an interception return.

Down 26-13 Norwich's comeback was too little too late after a late TD by a Rifanburg pass to Edwards for six to give the game its final score of 26-19 in favor of Windsor.
