DVD Patrol: Jurassic World, Paper Towns

Back on the Patrol, People! The DVD Patrol has a lineup this week and it's a good one along with some news that the Toddster has been waiting too long for but we'll share that later. Let's see what's hot out and about.

New on DVD

Jurassic World- Things have changed a lot since Jurassic Park was opened 20 years ago. Now years later the park is thriving but the pressure is on to have newer and bigger attractions. The park is ran by Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) who is under review to bring in something new and more daring. She also has to get approval from a survival expert named Owen (Chris Pratt). He begins his inspection only to learn that an even more dangerous and intelligent dinosaur has been created. It bides its' time until it can find a good time to escape which it finally does. Owen and Claire not only have to save the people in the park but Claire's nephews Gray (Ty Simpkins) and Zach (Nick Robinson) have gotten lost too. Can they find a way to escape and stop the new beast that's trying to escape out into the World? Pratt is being considered for a number of projects including a new take on "Indiana Jones" and he also another "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie in the works set for release sometime in 2017.

Paper Towns- You have to be careful wishing for something because there's is a good chance that you might get it. Quentin (Nat Wolff) always admired Margo (Kara Delevingne). He always liked her spirit and the fact she always did whatever she wanted. One night he hears a knocking on his window and Margo comes to him to ask for a favor. She wants to play a kind of getaway driver for a number of activities she wants to do. The next day she disappears and he's note sure where she's gone. The Police begin to look for her but Quentin has no idea where to find her. Later, he has an idea because she has left some clues where she could have gone. Can he find her? Delevingne stars with Will Smith in a new comic book movie titled "Suicide Squad" set for release in 2016.

Also on DVD

Tomorrowland- Going someplace you've never been is something a lot of people would like to do. Casey Newton (Britt Robertson) had a feeling she was destined for something special. The day she met Frank Walker (George Clooney) she could tell that was about to happen. Frank had access to a city called "Tomorrowland" but there were also some dangerous people who wanted to get there to steal their secrets. Frank and Casey must work with each other to find out why these men want to go there too. Can they figure out what the secrets are behind Tomorrowland? Clooney also has some great movies out on DVD including "Out of Sight,""The Peacemaker," and "One Fine Day" in stores now.

The Good Witch (Season 1)- Everyone needs someone to inspire them. Even those who have a kind of magical nature. Cassie Nightengale (Catherine Bell) had this and this is what made her fall in love with her new hometown and the old Gray House that was passed on to her. Over the years, she has used her magic wiles to help those in need and keep all who were a bit skeptical about her at bay. In the first episode, Cassie is trying to pick up the pieces of her life after losing her husband while working for the Police. She meets Sam Radford and his son who've moved in next door. He cant help but sense there's something different about her. Cassie's daughter Grace (Bailee Madison) may also have some of her Mom's special skills when it comes to the Supernatural as well. Is Cassie going to be able to impress Sam? Season 2 begins in February 2016 on the Hallmark Channel.

It's hard waiting and waiting for something but the Toddster has finally learned that "Ant Man" finally has a release date which is December 8 and will be featured right here in a future patrol. The Toddster will return next time.
