OWEGO - Playing yesterday, Thursday, October 15, in the opening rounds of the sectional tournament Norwich has one team moving on to the finals. The doubles team of Makenzie Maynard and Caroline Stewart will be moving on to the finals today in Maine-Endwell.

After dominating their opening three rounds by winning every match in straight sets the team of Maynard and Stewart will be playing in the section finals against Seton Catholic's top doubles team. This is the same team that stopped the pair's sectionals run last season and the Purple Tornado are out looking for revenge. On their way to the finals Stewart and Maynard defeated teams from Owego, Vestal, and Seton Catholic, all in straight sets.
