S-E Boys Soccer Closes Out Season

CANASTOTA - Wednesday, October 14, marked the final game of the season for the Sherburne-Earlville boys varsity soccer team. Traveling to Canastota the Marauder boys lost their final game 5-2.

In the first half of the game, Canastota jumped out to an early 4-1 lead over S-E. Cole Olsen scored the first goal with a little help from Tyler Rodriguez. The S-E defense did all that they could against a Canastota team that tallied 16 shots over the course of the game. Goal keeper Thad Karaman registered 13 saves, stopping as man shots as he could.

The second half went much better for the Marauders, keeping Canastota to only one goal and scoring one themselves. Ben Rinaldo scored the S-E goal in the second half off of an assist from Rodriguez.

S-E closes out their season with a 2-12-1 record overall and is already looking ahead to competing next season.
