UTICA - Traveling to Utica College Thursday, October 1, the Sherburne-Earlville girls’ varsity swim team took on Whitesboro. The final score of the match would be 81-76 in favor of Whitesboro.

S-E would go on to win seven of the 11 events but would ultimately lose the meet on points. The first meet of the night, the 200 Medley Relay would go to the Marauders. The team of Anna Rinaldo, Elizabeth Bachman, Hailey Howard, and Molly Bachman would win with a time of 2:16.93, ten seconds ahead of the next team. All four girls would go on to win multiple other events, either on relay teams or solo.

The match would end on a high note for S-E as they would win the last event of the day, the 400 Freestyle Relay. Kiana Marshall, Hailey Howard, Molly Bachman, and Anna Rinaldo would beat out Whitesboro in an extremely close race. Winning by just three tenths of a second. The Marauder team posted a time of 4:36.11 to the next best team’s 4:36.46.
