GREENE - Hosting the larger school of Johnson City, the Greene varsity girls' swim team would rise to the occasion and win on Friday night, September, 18. The final score would favor Greene 85-78 after Greene won seven of the eleven events.

The meet would come down to the 400 freestyle relay in which would just beat their opponents by a little over a second. The team of Audrey Platta, Kady Yanusaf, Marissa Pavlovich, and Kaliey Yanusaf would save the day for the Trojans. Pavlovich would go on to win or help win four events throughout the day. "Our girls rose to the occasion today," said Greene coach Mike Platta. "They all contributed to the points total and I'm very proud of them."

The duo of Nichole Flohr and Kady Yanusaf would also go on to win three events for Greene individually and on relay teams. Greene will swim again after a long break on October, 2 when they travel to Norwich.
