Norwich Golf Back On Top, While Norwich Tennis Takes Home Opener

PLYMOUTH - After a tough loss to Johnson City in a tiebreaker on Thursday August, 27, the Purple Tornado turned right back around and beat Sidney the very next day on their home course.

On Friday, August, 28 the Sidney Warriors came to Canasawacta Country Club to take on Norwich in what would be a dominating victory for the Tornado. Norwich would end the day with a score of 201 while Sidney only shot a 252. Shooting the low round for the Tornado and for the match was Brenon Maynard who shot a 36 for the day. Only three strokes behind Maynard was Ryan Johnson who shot a 39.

For the Warriors it was Trenton Stillman who shot their low score with a 37. The day was Norwich’s as their top five players would outshoot the Sidney golfers in almost every single match up, winning the match by 51 strokes. Norwich is back in action today at 11:00 a.m. when they travel to Vestal Hills to take on Seton Catholic in their next match-up.
