Sherburne – The Sherburne Rotary Club will continue its 26th annual summer concert series in Gaines Park. Everyone is welcome to attend the event for some musical entertainment from local bands and performers.

Later this evening, July 29th at 6 p.m., the Smyrna Citizens Band lead by, Red Raville, will be performing in the Gaines Park for the event. This group features more than 40 musicians ranging in all ages. This year marks the 89th year of performing for this group.

Next Wednesday, August 5th at 6p.m. will mark the final concert in the series for the summer. This last evening of music in the park will feature Kaitlyn Jackson and Hometown. Kaitlyn Jackson is a local Norwich high-school student, and American Idol Season 13 Contestant. Jackson has been performing for various local events throughout the summer.

“I am so appreciative to perform for another community event. Local events are so much fun because I can really just let loose and enjoy myself on stage. I'm comfortable with the area and the people. I just hope the fun I'm having translates to the audience,” said Jackson.
