J.T. Vinal walked for Norwich to lead off the seventh, and moved to third on Chris Cabellero's double. Vinal tied the game at 2-2 scoring on Ben McGillicuddy's infield single. Cabellero then came home with the go-ahead run on a passed ball. McGillicuddy scored an insurance run on Mike Trevisani's RBI groundout.

Trevisani earned the victory in a complete-game performance striking out nine, walking one, and allowing four hits.

Oxford took a 1-0 lead in the opening inning when Tommy Palmatier's single plated Austin Crawford. After Norwich's James Herrig singled in Vinal in the fifth to knot the game, Oxford regained the lead for the last time in the last of the sixth. Josh Nelson tripled, and he scored on Austin Crawford's sacrifice fly.

"It was a well pitched and well played game on both sides," said Norwich coach Nick McCullough. "That was our toughest game so far."
