New on DVD

Kingsman: The Secret Service- Getting a new lease on life is something you never expect. Harry Hart AKA Galahad (Colin Firth) was one of the best spies that the Kingsman ever had until one of his missions went wrong and he got one of his men killed. He respected him so much that he brought him back to his family but he could never tell them what he really did. Galahad took a liking to him and if he ever needed help to please contact him. Now known on the streets as "Eggsy." (Taron Egerton), he's managed to get himself into trouble. He calls the number and Galahad appears with an offer that may appeal to Eggsy. He's been picked to try out to become a member of the Kingsman. At the same time, a threat has appeared in the form of Valentine (Samuel L Jackson) and he wants to wipe out half the World. Valentine knows he has to take down the Kingsmen to do it. Does Eggsy have what it takes to become an agent and be able to stop Valentine? There are rumblings that Egerton is interested in taking on the part of Wolverine when Hugh Jackman decides to give it up. Stay Tuned!

The Duff- Being labeled a certain way isn't always a good thing. Bianca Piper (Mae Whitman) wasn't the prettiest girl in high school but she thought she had a lot of other things going for her that made for everything else. That all changed when she comes to find out that she been labeled "The DUFF (designated ugly fat friend). Bianca felt labels weren't all bad but she sure didn't like this one. She had to get to Madison Morgan (Bella Thorne) and her little group to prove that she was something else. Bianca also wanted to impress Wes (Robbie Amell) who was pretty popular in his own right. Will Bianca be able to get her point across? Amell will next be seen on the season opener of "The Flash" coming in October on the CW Network.

Also on DVD

Transporter : The Series (Season 2)- Being good at your job and sticking to the rules isn't always easy. Just ask Frank Martin (Chris Vance). Martin always has three rules: No names, No looking in the package, and never change the deal. Frank doesn't like to break his own rules but they have a way of being bent. After the events of the Season 1 finale, Frank's World needs to get back to normal or what it is for him. In the Season 2 opener, Frank is contracted to transport a 12 year old boy who witnessed the murder of his Father who happened to be a judge. Frank has to make sure he gets to the authorities alive. Can Frank keep him safe to testify? Season 1 is also available in stores now with a new movie titled "The Transporter: Refueled" coming to theaters on September 4.

Now in Theaters

SPY- When you're good at your job, you get a promotion but there's a chance no one will be give you one. Susan Cooper (Melissa Mccarthy) was always the one you went to when you were on a secret mission who found ways to get in and out of a situation. Agent Bradley Fine (Jude Law) would always have Susan on radio guiding him on mission especially when it came time to get out of danger. During one such mission, Fine is taken down and Susan feels like she let him down. Now she volunteers to finish the job that Fine started while he was tracking a stolen nuclear weapon in the possession of Rayna Boyanov (Rose Byrne). There are also those like Rick Ford (Jason Statham) who don't think Susan has the right stuff to be a spy. It just might be possible that Susan may surprise them all. Can she pull it off?

The Toddster's Take- Movies don't surprise me all that often but this one surely did. I'm not really a big fan of Melissa Mccarthy but there are actors like Jason Statham who will get me to see the movie. I have to say that I was certainly surprised by Mccarthy and the way she conducted herself. She could give James Bond a helping hand if he needed it. It was a little slow getting going but it managed to speed up and held the pace. If you want a few laughs, this one is worth seeing.
