NORWICH – Several Norwich dignitaries, merchants and even the Patriot Guard Riders came out to celebrate a grand re-opening celebration of the recently renovated Matthews Ford location in Norwich, Tuesday. In synchronicity, the grand opening of Quick Lane – an independent business operating at the dealership that offers expedited service to all makes and models – was likewise cause for celebration.

Rob Matthews, President of Matthews Auto said, “This project has been three years in the making, and the project has come out very well; we're very excited to get this place going like this.”

The Matthews Group, based out of the Binghamton metro area, represents 10 foreign and domestic brands, designating its recent expansion into the Chenango County market as a Ford dealership. The Norwich location serves as the first Matthews location outside the triple cities.

“Norwich has been phenomenal. This was out first store out of the Vestal area and has been nothing but great; we've been very happy with Norwich,” said Matthews.
