Adirondack responded in a big way as Jamie Miller smacked a grand slam upping the lead to six runs. "We didn't fall apart (after the home run)," said S-E coach Michelle Parker. "We came back and got them out one, two, three."

Miller had three hits in the win, while Danielle Mastraccio and Arielle Kranbuhl had two hits apiece. "Adirondack came in with a purpose today and pounded the ball," Parker said. "But we stayed in it, and I still thought we were in the game going into the seventh inning."

The regular season home finale for the Marauders also served as a fundraiser, "Playing for a Cure." Parker said $510 was raised for a designated family in the community.

S-E plays at Herkimer today.
