OXFORD – Oxford broke open its game with Unadilla Valley Tuesday with four runs in the bottom of the fourth to pick up its third win of the season.

Already leading 5-2, Oxford senior Richard Ryan delivered a two-run single, and Dylan Depew followed two batters later with a ground-rule double scoring two more runs.

UV countered with its final three runs in the top of the fifth scoring the first run on an infield error, then Will Martin drove in two with a double to center field.

Nick Neer tripled for Oxford scoring three runs and driving in another to support winning pitcher Austin Crawford. Crawford pitched five innings striking out four and walking just one. "Austin threw a lot of strikes today and did a nice job for us," said Oxford coach Chris Palmer. "Tacking on those extra runs (in the fourth) were big. We had key hits at key times."

Nick Stirone doubled and drove in a run for UV.
