Pathfinder Produce fresh produce market celebrates second anniversary this month

NORWICH – The Second Anniversary Celebration of Pathfinder Produce – Pathfinder Village's weekly fresh produce market – will take place on Thursday, March 19, offering discounted prices on all sales.

Pathfinder Produce is the Village’s extremely successful produce market that is open to the public each Thursday from 2 to 5 p.m. The Market is held at Pathfinder Produce in the Village Commons building.

On Thursday, March 19, the Market will be offering 5 percent off all sales in celebration of their two-year mark.

Since the Edmeston region has no readily accessible supermarket that sells fresh foods, the Pathfinder market ships in produce through the Village’s regular suppliers and offers a variety of items at competitive prices to help local families and seniors eat better.

“Every week we offer a fresh produce market over here at Pathfinder Village because our immediate region has no access to fresh fruits and vegetables in an easy manner,” said Lori Grace, at Pathfinder Village. “You have to drive like a half hour to go to a convenient grocery store and a lot of people just can't make that drive.”

“It's a really convenient way for them to shop locally and to increase the number of fresh item that they are putting in their menus at home,” said Grace.
