Welcome to 2015, Patrollers! 2014 was an awesome year for the DVD Patrol and we managed to do our job keeping all our Patrollers informed on what's up courtesy of the Toddster. 2015 has already had the earmarks of being an even bigger year yet. We hope you've been enjoying our specials the past couple of weeks. Now it's time to start 2015 off with some new DVDS.

New on DVD

The Equalizer (2014)-Making a promise to someone you love is something you don't want to break. Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) was a Government agent who had a knack of making the odds equal during all of his assignments but then he had to make a choice. So he decided to leave the service for his family. Time went by and he eventually lost them. Robert starts to work at a regular job and he meets a young girl named Teri (Chloe Grace-Moretz). Teri has been working as an escort for the Russian Mob and one night she gets hurt. He knows he made a promise but he finally has had enough and he knows that Teri can't stand up to these guys herself. Robert steps in and tries to show the people that hurt Teri the error of their ways. He does just that but now he's on their radar. They send a hitman named Teddy (Martin Czonkas) after him. They don't exactly know who they are dealing with. Will Robert be able to stop them? Moretz has another great DVD that has just been released in stores called "If I Stay" where she plays a young girl named Mia who's been in an accident and now hovers between life and death. What will happen to her?

No Good Deed- You always want to be careful who you let into your home. Terry (Taraji P Hensen) was a hard working person with two kids and there wasn't anything she wouldn't do for them. This is about to be put to the test. A stranger named Colin (Idris Elba) comes knocking on her door claiming he's been in an accident and he needs help. While deciding if she should help him, she hears a news broadcast about an escaped felon in the area. She wonders if this could be him. Colin starts to get anxious and Terry can tell he's not somebody you want to keep waiting. How long can Terry hold out? Henson is about to start a new role working with Terrence Howard on a new Fox show called "Empire" coming soon. Elba has been rumored to being scouted to be the next James Bond. Very interesting.

Also on DVD

Left Behind- Based on the best selling book series, there's always a chance you could lose someone you love. It's even worse if you're not sure if they're really gone either. Rayford Steele (Nicholas Cage) plays a pilot who takes a job flying a bunch of passengers. Suddenly, a World crisis happens where millions of people disappear without any reason. Now Rayford's plane is damaged and his passengers are panicked. On the ground, Rayford's daughter Chloe (Cassi Thomsen) is looking for the rest of her family too. Can they find one another? Cage always has a number of projects in the works including "The Croods 2" set for release in 2017.

The Longest Week- Having your whole life set out in front of you can be interesting. Conrad (Jason Bateman) has been having this done all his life since he has lived in his Parent's High Rise Hotel. He's had everything handed to him. All of this is about to change when his parents kick him out and have disinherited him. Now he has to find a new place to live and a new job to keep himself going. He may get some help in the form of Beatrice (Olivia Wilde). Conrad has never gotten out much. Could He have found something he may have not counted on as well? Bateman can still be seen in "Horrible Bosses 2" still in theaters now.

Thats all we have for this week, People. A lot of good movies are set for DVD in the weeks ahead and a Toddster's Take with Liam Neeson in "Taken 3" coming to theaters this weekend is on the way. The Toddster shall return.
