Predicate Felon Given Chance To Get Sober

NORWICH— Convicted grand larceny defendant was sentenced in Chenango County Court by Judge Frank B. Revoir, Jr. on Nov. 14.

Katherine M. Daniels, 38, Utica, was charged this past January with two counts of grand larceny in the third degree, a class D felony; one count of grand larceny in the fourth degree, a class E felony; two counts of conspiracy in the fifth degree, a class A misdemeanor; and one count of conspiracy in the sixth degree, a class B misdemeanor.

Daniels pleaded guilty to one count of grand larceny in the third degree on Aug. 11.

It is alleged Daniels and two others stole from a Town of Norwich business. The thefts are alleged to have occurred on three separate occasions: Jan. 8, 19 and 21. Daniels and two others allegedly stole several Blue Ray DVDs and other expensive items from the store.

Daniels and two other individuals were arrested following an investigation of more than $19,000 worth of stolen merchandise by the local business's loss prevention team and the Chenango County Sheriff's Office with help from the Utica Police Deparment and the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.
