Ramsaran found guilty of murder

NORWICH — After just more than three hours of deliberation Tuesday afternoon, a jury of 12 found Ganesh R. Ramsaran guilty of the charge of murder in the second degree, a class A-1 felony.

The jury found, based on evidence presented, that Ramsaran did indeed have the motive and intent to kill his wife, Jennifer Ramsaran, on the morning of Dec. 11, 2012.

Closing arguments in the trial took place today, and the jury returned a verdict after asking multiple questions to the court for clarification including phone records, and the exact location of Jennifer’s blood in the house.

Ramsaran will appear for sentencing at a later date.

A complete report of the verdict will appear in the Wednesday edition of The Evening Sun.
