Alyssa Welch scored two more times for Norwich giving her four goals on the season. Welch connected on go-ahead goal just three minutes into the first overtime. Shelby Benjamin initiated the play with a free kick to the left corner of the 18-yard box. Norwich left wing Cora Manwarren chipped a crossing pass to Welch on the right side of the goal, who then guided the ball in.

Aside from Welch, two other Norwich players were in position to field Manwarren's pass.

"It was nice to have players in the right position," said Norwich coach Adam Sprague.

Chenango Valley scored the opening goal just two minutes into the game, but was held off the board the next 98 minutes.

Kassidy Seary made six saves for Norwich, including what was likely a game-saver in the final minutes of regulation. Chenango Valley's Alaina Carman had a breakaway on the right side, and fired a hard, low shot to the right side. Seary made a diving save punching the ball wide of the goal. "We worked on one-on-one plays with Kassidy for 45 minutes the day before in practice, and it clearly paid off," Sprague said.
