Bishop visits St. Theresa’s

NEW BERLIN – On Sunday, St. Theresa's Church in New Berlin welcomed The Most Reverend Robert Cunningham, Bishop of the Syracuse Diocese. He joined in two masses with Father Joseph O'Connor, Director of Vocations of the Diocese, and Father Alfred Bebel. Father O'Connor was the homilist and spoke to the congregation about vocations in the priesthood and religious life. He enumerated a four-step process to hear God's call in life – acknowledge, relate, receive and respond. The intention of the masses was thanksgiving for all the many blessings God has bestowed on the parish. A reception followed with food and entertainment for the 100 people in attendance. A special thank you goes out to the Methodist Church for the use of its facilities because of inclement weather.
