It's a Great Summer so far, Patrollers! The DVD Patrol has been plenty busy keeping track of movies in the theater but we thought we would catch up a little on some DVDs for those lazy days of summer or when there's just rain in the forecast. A spy, a little love, a plane trip, and even a party guy from beyond the grave to name just a few.

New on DVD

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit - Heroes always get their start some place. Jack Ryan (Chris Pine) was a soldier in the military until a helicopter accident cut it short. Jack was thought to never walk again. He gets approached by a mysterious man (Kevin Costner) who claims he works for the CIA and he sees something in Jack that might add something to the organization. Five years later, posing as an ecnomic analyst, Jack finds data in Russia that leads him to believe that a terrorist attack could be coming. His handler tells him he needs him to go to Russia to find out who it is where he meets an Russian industrialist (Kenneth Branaugh) who has sinster plans afoot. Also, Jack's personal life might be jeopardy when his fiance (Keira Knightley) surprises him by showing up unexpectedly. Will Jack be able to handle what's coming? Pine has several upcoming projects including the much anticipated "Star Trek 3." Stay Tuned on this one.

Non-Stop- Fighting for what's right when you're traveling can be a heavy proposition. Traveling a lot can wear you down but it's what Bill Marks (Liam Neeson) does. Being an air marshal can be boring and you always hope that it is. Bill's trip is about to get livened up when he receives a series of text messages that tell him the flight he's on might be in jeopardy unless $150 million is put in an offshore account. To make matters worse, the account is put in Bill's name and it makes him look like he's the one who wants to kill everybody. How will he stop the attack while staying out of trouble? Some other great DVDs with plane trips that can give a thrill are "Turbulence,""Snakes on a Plane (with Samuel Jackson), and "Air Force One" (starring Harrison Ford) in stores right now.
