One Airlifted After Early Morning Accident

NEW BERLIN – Emergency crews were quick to respond to a one-car motor vehicle accident on state Highway 8 in South New Berlin early Monday morning.

New Berlin Fire and EMS, with assistance from New York State Police, responded to the accident shortly after 8 a.m. Reports of the victim striking a telephone pole and being ejected through the windshield warranted a call to LifeNet Emergency Medical Services, and the subject was airlifted to Basset Medical Center in Cooperstown for treatment.

Details of the accident is currently under investigation. The condition of the subject was unknown as of deadline.
