Singer Jared Campbell Performs At UV On Wednesday

NEW BERLIN – Singer/songwriter Jared brings his unique sounds to Unadilla Valley at 7 p.m. Wednesday for a free show. Campbell plays a combination of pop, rock, and indie and has played around the state for more than 10 years. He’s returning to the district after playing three assemblies on April 21 for all the students and staff.

According to his website, he is moving forward with “The Blue Project,” an interactive live show presented to students to teach them more about the power of songs and about the music business in general.

“My main focus,” he says on his website, “has been allowing my music to impact the lives of listeners by experiencing joy, finding comfort through pain, and looking past obstacles toward living a better life.”

Unadilla Valley student Jacqueline Hutchinson, says she’s a fan of Campbell and his music has influenced her.

“My best friend told me about Jared Campbell playing at her school last year. She told me that his message influenced her to thank me for being in her life. When they announced that Jared Campbell was going to be playing at the RYLA leadership conference I was at last summer, I already had some idea of how inspiring he was. Although I had high expectations, Jared easily surpassed them,” she said.

“The part that makes Jared different than any other motivational speaker I've seen is Jared's ability to connect with the students he is singing to. Jared understands the struggles that kids are going through and he sings songs about perseverance, strength, and self-worth. Jared was one of the best parts of my conference, so I was determined to bring him to our school in hopes that he will inspire more kids, like me.”
