The first dual meet of the season for Norwich just so happened to be a double dual against Chenango Forks and Windsor because of snow last week. Norwich was making up a meet with one of the teams and was able to win three of the four meets. “It was obviously a really strong showing for the girls,” said head track an field coach Shaun Horan.

The girls defeated both Windsor and Chenango Forks to start 2-0 on the young season. “The boys did pretty well,” Horan said, “they beat Windsor which was a nice victory for them.”

The boys could not overcome the long distance running

talent of Chenango Forks however and fell by 38

points. “Chenango Forks just outmatched them for the

distance running, the distance

runners from Forks just beat us,” said Horan.

The next time Norwich goes head to head is in Chenango

Valley after Spring Break on April 22. “In general it was a

good start to the season, we’re hoping to have a really

solid season with both teams,” Horan said.
