Norwich Family YMCA Hosts District Swimming Championships

NORWICH – The Norwich Family YMCA and the Norwich YMCA Dolphins Swim Team are pleased to announce that the team is hosting the annual CNY District Championship Swim Meet in Norwich this Saturday, Feb. 8.

Swim teams from the Central New York YMCA District include Auburn, Cortland, Fulton, Norwich, Oneida, Oneonta, and Watertown. Those teams will be joining the Norwich Dolphins at the Norwich YMCA on Broad Street all day Saturday as the 10 and under “junior” swimmers take on the morning session starting at 8 a.m., and the 11 and over “senior” swimmers begin their meet at 1 p.m.

Over 500 swimmers from across the district are expected to compete, with approximately 1,000 spectators and family members watching the events throughout the day.
