NORWICH - Norwich won the initial coin flip, and that allowed it to jockey the lineup in a Section IV Dual Meet Tournament victory over Greene Friday.

Norwich regrouped from an early deficit getting pins from Dalen Geislinger (99), Cole Rifanburg (120), Tristan Rifanburg (152), and Frank Garcia (160). Norwich head coach Terry Hagenbuch moved up his wrestlers one and in some cases two weight classes to garner the best possible matchup.

“This match didn’t count as a weigh-in, so the object was to get the points and win the dual,” Hagenbuch said. “Both teams have holes, and we were trying to fill as many as possible.”

Eventual tournament champion Union-Endicott eliminated the Purple Tornado Saturday morning with a 60-21 victory.
