Three Arrested For Soliciting Crack Cocaine

NORWICH – The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office arrested three individuals shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday after a lengthy investigation revealed they were involved in the distribution of crack cocaine.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the Sheriff’s Narcotics Division, with assistance of road patrol members and the Norwich City Police, executed a search warrant in the Town of Norwich that led to the arrest of 32-year-old Tarik Patterson of Utica, 41-year-old Mary Franklin of Norwich, and 36-year-old Rachel O’Neil of Norwich.

Police say during execution, they also found six baggies of crack cocaine weighing approximately seven grams, cash, and drug paraphernalia.

All three individuals were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony. They were arraigned in the Town of Norwich Court and remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on cash bail. They are scheduled to reappear in Town of Norwich Court at a later date.
