Staff changes mean foward progress at CCSO

CHENANGO COUNTY – The close of 2013 and the beginning of the new year have brought about changes at the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office. Employee departures, promotions, and new arrivals will bring about movement in a positive direction, said Sheriff Ernest R. Cutting, Jr.

One new arrival to the Sheriff’s Office is Dan Frair, who has assumed the role as undersheriff as of Monday.

“Dan’s last day with the Binghamton Police Department was Friday,” said Cutting. “We gave him a whole two days off,” he added jovially.

Former Undersheriff Jim Lloyd left the department on Nov. 1 to pursue employment at Chobani.

Frair brings more than two decades of experience of law enforcement to Chenango County, and said he looks forward to his new position.
