Windsor was held to just two field goals in the opening half to trail 36-7. Nine Norwich players scored in the first two quarters, and senior Jenni Borfitz’s two threes in the first quarter helped Norwich build a 19-point lead. “(Windsor) really struggled when we trapped them, and we were able to get out and score a lot of easy baskets in transition,” said Norwich coach Josh Bennett.

Borfitz finished with 13 points, reserve Savannah Williams had a season-high 10, and Breanna Cashman scored 10 points. The Tornado reserves finished with 38 points, one more than the varsity’s output.

Norwich’s JV team improved to 5-1 with a 63-23 victory.

Norwich plays High Point, New Hampshire Friday at 4 p.m at Delaware Valley High School in Pennsylvania.
