Chenango Valley 46, Greene 42

FENTON - A furious fourth-quarter rally fell short for Greene Wednesday night at Chenango Valley.

Down by 18 to start the fourth quarter, the Trojans whittled the deficit down to four thanks to an aggressive full-court press, and had possession of the ball with a chance to make it a one-possession game. Greene turned it over without getting a shot, and did not have another opportunity to cut into CV’s lead.

“I kind of regret not pressing earlier in the game,” said Greene coach Rick Smith. “We could not make shots for three quarters, but the press really got us going.”
