Pitcher Woman Arraigned For Manslaughter

Geneia M. Rood, 38, Pitcher was arraigned at court on Nov. 12. It is alleged that Rood recklessly and unlawfully caused the death of a three-month-old infant at a Town of Pitcher residence. The arrest followed an investigation by the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office. Rood has been charged with second degree manslaughter, a class C felony. She was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $250,000 insurance bond by Judge Frank B. Revoir, Jr.
