NORWICH – The Chenango Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will present its biannual Festival of Trees fundraising benefit starting at 6 p.m., Nov. 16 at the Canasawacta Country Club, located at 261 County Rd. 44, Norwich.

“Our main goal at the Auxiliary, is to collect as much funding possible throughout the year for the hospital; and this is by far our favorite event,” said Auxiliary member and organizer Nancy Mirabito. She said, “There will be something for everyone this year and this is a great opportunity for the community to not only contribute to the Hospital, but also get some holiday shopping done in the process.”

The event, which has been held more than 20 years, will not only raise funds of the CMH Auxiliary but also serve as a means to ring in the forthcoming holiday season. Cocktail hour and a silent auction will commence at 6 p.m. with dinner to follow at 7 p.m. Festive music provided by local band “Splash” will keep attendants entertained, and the auction will continue until 11 p.m.

Auxiliary members have displayed items which will be included in the silent auction Monday inside the NBT Bank main lobby on South Broad Street in Norwich. The Public is welcome to browse the displays and enter bids for the auction through Friday, as this is the single largest fundraiser for the organization.
