Grand Jury Indicts Nine

NORWICH – The Chenango County Grand Jury handed up a number of criminal indictments Wednesday, Oct. 16. At a grand jury proceeding, the Chenango County District Attorney’s Office presents evidence against those they wish to prosecute. It is up to the jury to decide if there is enough reasonable cause to charge a person with a felony offense.

Once indicted by the grand jury, individuals will be arraigned before the County Court Judge at a later date.

The grand jury indicted nine individuals.

• Connie B. Hendrickson, 47, Greene, was indicted on attempted murder charges, along with other, lesser related charges. Hendrickson faces one count of attempted murder in the second degree, a class B violent felony; attempted assault in the first degree, a class C felony; first degree reckless endangerment, a class D felony; and second degree reckless endangerment, a class A misdemeanor.

It is alleged that Hendrickson, on or about August 1, 2013 in the Town of McDonough, attempted to cause the death of another female by firing a loaded SKS rifle.

• Glenn E. O'Connor, 45, Greene, was indicted on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, a class A-II felony. The indictment additionally included a charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a class A misdemeanor.
