UV Beats Norwich On Its Senior Recognition Day

NEW BERLIN – On senior recognition day, Unadilla Valley matched its highest victory total in eight seasons beating the Purple Tornado Tuesday.

The Storm's David Schwab scored the game's first two goals 22 minutes into the game, and within a 34-second time frame. His first came after a long punt from goalie Kyle King, and the second was on a breakaway following a pass from Johnny Schermerhorn.

Conor Pope tallied to make it 3-0 at the half, and Nate Shackelton produced an early second-half goal for the four-goal lead.

Norwich rallied behind senior Curtis Woodard, who scored unassisted, then assisted on Chris Trevisani's tally five minutes later.

UV's record improved to 8-5 overall.
