Tornado linksters narrowly miss three-peat

OWEGO - Norwich came within five strokes of three-peating as Section IV, Class B champions.

The Tornado linksters placed second behind STAC division champion Windsor, Tuesday afternoon at The Links at Hiawatha Landing.

Johnson was red-hot out of the gate birdieing six of his first 11 holes. His three-over-par score was one shot behind overall medalist - and fellow freshman - D.J. Griffiths of Susquehanna Valley.

Corey Johnson was next for the Purple shooting an 80, Nate Scheer had an 85, Colin Fern, in his first varsity appearance, shot an 87, and Greg Todd carded a 90.
