UV Boys Blank Oxford In Completion Of Suspended Game

NEW BERLIN – Unadilla Valley completed its Sept. 12 game with Oxford that was suspended by lightning Thursday afternoon.

Leading 1-0 when play was halted late in the first half, the week off did not slow UV's momentum in picking up its third shutout victory of the year.

Jared Hanslmaier scored off a cornerkick from Connor Pope shortly after the restart for the two-goal halftime advantage, and senior Mason Alford scored his first varsity goal getting an assist from Brendan Brooker. Brooker hooked up with David Schwab for the lone goal last week before inclement weather took over.

Storm goalie Kyle King had seven saves.

SCHENEVUS – After 80 minutes of regulation and two 10-minute overtime periods, G-MU and Schenevus finished in a scoreless tie Wednesday afternoon.

Austin Burnside had nine saves for the Raiders, who had just two shots in the game, while allowed 12 to the Dragons.
