Reserves spark Norwich in win over Sus Valley

Evening Sun Report

NORWICH – Norwich won its second match this week and evened its record at 2-2 overall beating Susquehanna Valley in four games Thursday night, 25-19, 18-25, 25-20, 25-21.

Norwich struggled with its serving in the second game as the Sabers evened the match at one game each, and the Tornado fell behind 8-2 in the third game. With half the starting lineup taking a seat, the Tornado rallied to take the lead scoring 12 of the next 14 points to never look back. “The bench did step up and gave us a spark tonight,” said Norwich coach Shelly Alger. “The starters came back in for the fourth game, and played really well.”
