Norwich 208, Chenango Forks 212

PLYMOUTH – Norwich senior Corey Johnson birdied the opening hole at Canasawacta Country Club, and had just one bogey the rest of the way shooting an even-par 36 to lead Norwich past Chenango Forks Thursday in the Tornado’s first home match of the season.

Ryan Johnson had a birdie in his round to post a 42 for NHS (2-0). Nate Scheer and Alex Gage carded 43s, and Greg Todd had a 44. “Chenango Forks is one of the better teams in the league, an I hope this gives us a real confidence boost,” said Norwich coach Bob Branham.
