2nd annual Rock in the Park raises more than $7,000

BAINBRIDGE – Thanks to the generosity of the community and the concerted efforts of those involved, the 2nd annual Rock in the Park, held last Saturday, was a phenomenal success, benefitting Toys for Tots.

Last year, Rock in the Park organizers were able to cut a check for $3,742 to the local Toys for Tots. So far, organizers believe this year’s check will be something closer to $7,000. Although donations and ticket sales are still being counted, organizers are confident that the total will be around twice that of last year’s. The event has now secured a place as the top local fundraiser for the Chenango County Toys for Tots.

However, this immense feat of charity is not enough for lead organizers Erica and Jason Hall, who are determined to make next year’s Rock in the Park even better, and the pair are already planning ahead.

Jason Hall, who works as a regional director of sponsorship sales at Tioga & Vernon Downs Casino, is already working with his promotors to secure next year’s headliner, and although it is far too soon to tell who it will be, some big names have already come up in conversation.
