GENEVA – For the second year in a row, two members of the Hobart College basketball team earned a spot on the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-East District teams. Senior guard Stefan Thompson (Christian Brothers Academy/Syracuse, N.Y.) garnered first team recognition and junior forward Richie Bonney (Norwich/Norwich, N.Y.) netted second team honors.

Like Thompson, Bonney was a unanimous first team All-Liberty League selection this year. He averaged 19.5 points and 8.7 rebounds per game, second in the league in both categories. Bonney's .624 field goal percentage broke the Hobart season record, led the Liberty League, and ranks 12th in the nation. He scored a career-high 40 points in a win at Rensselaer, the most points scored by any player in the conference this season. Bonney produced 22 points and a career-high 19 rebounds at 13th-ranked Rhode Island College in the first round of the NCAA tournament, a 62-59 overtime loss for the Statesmen. It was his team-leading ninth double-double of the season.

In 85 career games, Bonney has accumulated 1,147 points, 633 rebounds, 87 assists, 66 steals, and 41 blocked shots. He ranks 14th on Hobart's all-time scoring list.
