Holy Family PTO celebrates 30th anniversary of the Fish Fry

NORWICH – Every Friday in Lent – from Feb. 15 through March 22 – the PTO will host the Fish Fry in the Holy Family School Cafeteria. The event is open to the entire community with take-out available from 4:30 to 7 p.m. and eat-in dining open from 5 to 7 p.m.

The menu features both fried and baked fish, mashed potatoes and potato wedges, salad, coleslaw, applesauce, New England clam chowder and homemade desserts.

Adult dinners for those over 12 can be purchased for $9. Seniors (age 65 and over) are $8. Children age 6 to 12 are $7 and children under age 5 are free. Take-out is available for $10 by calling 337-2207 or 337-2208.

“The Fish Fry is Holy Family PTO’s largest annual fundraiser,” said Fish Fry Co-Chair Lisa Natoli. “The proceeds from the Fish Fry help to support field trips and athletic activities at the school, as well as to expand and enhance the programs offered to the students. We are pleased to be celebrating 30 years of this wonderful community event.”

In addition to meals, the PTO also raises funds during the Fish Fry by the sale of raffle tickets for weekly grand prizes, which include a flat-screen television, blu-ray player and e-reader. A silent auction is also held at the Fish Fry with a variety of local service and donated items.

Holy Family School is located at 17 Prospect St. in Norwich. Parking for the Fish Fry is accessible from Pleasant and Summit Streets. The cafeteria is handicap accessible. For more information on the Fish Fry, contact Holy Family School at 337-2207.
