Mt. Upton Church Hosts ‘Souper Bowl Sunday’ Fundraiser
Published: February 1st, 2013

MT. UPTON – On Sunday Feb. 3, nearly 140 million Americans are anticipated to tune in to watch the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl. There will be parties with abundant food, friendship and fun. And at that same time, across America some people will be worrying about staying warm having healthy food to serve their families. Since 1990, faith-based organizations have joined together to use this day to raise awareness and fight hunger in the “Souper Bowl of Caring” by asking our local communities to help fill our Food Pantries. All we are asking is that you consider donating $1 or more or bringing non-perishable food donations to our church. The church will be open to receive donations from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. on February 3. It is a simple, yet significant act of caring for your neighbors.
